ABOUT JEAN

Jean-David Jamet (1994) is a Swiss-based artist and photographer. He holds a Master in Art Education from the Zurich University of the Arts (ZHdK) and has exhibited in Japan and Switzerland. His work moves between observation and meditation, searching for the unseen dimensions that structure everyday reality.

Through precise compositions and subtle tonalities, Jamet explores themes of time, presence, and transformation. Vending machines in the night, volcanic landscapes, solitary trees in fog — each series approaches its subject as both document and metaphor. Machines appear as monuments of efficiency and opacity; trees as silent carriers of wisdom; stones as living matter in slow motion.

Jamet’s practice is distinguished by its ability to uncover poetry within rigor, to reveal the vitality of subjects often considered mute — whether natural or technological. In his images, the visible becomes a threshold to the invisible, and the present moment expands into deeper temporalities.
